Must Love Clichés

There seems to be an inordinate number of women on dating sites whose screen names contain some variation of the "Must Love Dogs" theme. Whether it's "MustLuvDogs234," "MstLvDgs618" or even "MustHeartDogsNYC," many women seem to think that basing their screen names on a painfully mediocre and unoriginal film is somehow clever and creative. Invariably, the profiles I've read with that screen name contain such gems as "I'm looking for my partner in crime," "I'm tired of the bar scene," or the always inspired, "I'm more comfortable in jeans than I am in a cocktail dress." Do these women not realize that when the dating site assigns you "Must Love Dogs 4567" that it's because there are 4,566 other women who think they're just as imaginative?

I'm not saying guys are any better. Just ask "I DRV A PRSCHE439," or "HRD SALAMI 4 U 986."

yup...guys are just as bad, but at least they're a bit more creative. i got an email from an "IEatBox" a few months ago and he waxed poetic about how "skilled" he was in the sack. while i can't say his little marketing gimmick worked with me, you gotta give the boy some mad props for creativity...

Kira, the question is does he eat it well?

Guys like that are almost always all talk.

After your last post, I am left wondering how many women use a title like "Must Love Computers."

I agree with Michelle, but the fact that he's so gung ho about eating it at all should count for something.

OMG! I hate that OMG thing. Anyway, I actually had my profile name as Mustluvcliches. Seriously, if I see another mustluvdogs or mustluvcats I will puke. But then again I do love to work hard and play hard. Now where is my little black dress?
